What activities are available on-site?

An individual camp program will be developed with you upon booking to ensure your camp goals are met. All adventure activities are conducted by qualified YMCA staff, however school staff are able to run their own sport and recreation activities in our recreation halls, courts or ovals.
Camp Warrawee has a pool that may be used under supervision of school staff, as long as one staff member holds a bronze medallion qualification through Royal Life Saving.
Additional costs will apply if YMCA staff are required to supervise pool sessions.
Are there camp staff available for other assistance?
In addition to your activity instructors and catering staff, guest services staff are available to help you with any enquiry during business hours.
You will also be provided with an emergency contact number for out of hours support, as well as being provided with a comprehensive guest booklet with a range of emergency and other contact information. Emergency information is also displayed in every cabin.
What activity equipment is available for our use?
The YMCA provides a sports pack free of charge to guests that includes a large variety of different sport equipment to use.

- Brisbane’s Southbank Cultural precinct
- Leslie Dam – open for a range boating and fishing activities
What if we have campers with special dietary needs?
The YMCA can accommodate for a variety of special dietary requirements for your group. These include:
- Celiac/Gluten Free
- Lactose Intolerant
- Specific Food/Ingredient Allergies
Dietary requirements are due 2 weeks prior to camp commencement to allow time for food ordering.
Does the camp have public liability insurance?
The YMCA is insured for all activities conducted at camp, including public liability insurance.
What is the cost and timing of payments, confirmations or cancellation, and deposit payments?

There are no additional fees and charges. What you are quoted is what you pay.

Do we need a coach while we’re at the camp?
This depends on the program of activities you select. All YMCA activities are facilitated on site and therefore no vehicular transport is required. If however you do wish to participate in any off site activities we can give you the contact number of local bus company who provide the YMCA with good rates.
Are there any concessions?
The YMCA offers a benevolent policy that schools may apply for. The benevolent policy allows schools to offer one (1) free place for every twenty (20) students attending camp. If successful in the application, schools may offer the place to whichever student/s they have identified that would otherwise not be able to attend camp.
